Irish wedding in Spain

Since October last year, my youngest son has been asking “when is it May Mum?” “How many days until May Mummy?”-  the reason being that he had been invited to Donna and Owen´s wedding to take place on the 22nd May 2013. To say he was excited was an understatement, he was dying to experience a wedding and see what all the fuss was about, and of course, see his Mummy in action.

Donna, I have to say, was probably the happiest bride I have met. She was just SOO happy to be marrying her prince, and didnt really care about anything else. On the day itself, she grinned from ear to ear ALL day. Im sure her cheeks would be aching :)

Penguin lover Donna would have had real penguins at her wedding in Spain if she could have, but she had to settle for penguin cake toppers and penguins appearing in her mass booklet.

Donna and Owen´s wedding was a small intimate affair with her nearest and dearest. Their wedding was at the beautiful Encarnacion Church in Marbella Old Town. This church is my second home this wedding season! Their reception was held in Fuerte Marbella. It was my first wedding at this hotel, and I have to say I was VERY impressed by the hotel´s service and staff.

In true Donna and Owen style, whilst they were whisked away by their photographer Kris McGuirk, they stopped off at a jewellery shop for Owen to buy his new wife her first present of a trinket they had ordered a year ago when they were in Spain looking at venues. How sweet is that? and you can imagine the surprise the shop keeper had :)
The church and wedding venue were very close to each other, so Donna and Owen strolled through the quaint Spanish streets of Marbella Old Town with their guests to their wedding reception.

I wish Donna and Owen, and their son Vaughan ALL the happiness in the world. xxx
