Benalmadena wedding

So, Holly and Declan, are the perfect example of why wedding planners are a wise investment, and not a luxury when planning a wedding in Spain.

The couple had come to Spain in the summer of 2011 and found their venue and booked their church alone without the help of a wedding planner.

In January this year, I received a frantic call from Holly (I had been recommended to her by someone) and she explained that she had her venue and church booked but she was having problems in taking the planning any further. The venue didnt speak any english and she didnt know what to do. She didnt have a florist, photographer, make up artist, hairdresser or anything else booked. Whats worse is that she had already completed all her paperwork and gone through her Pre Marriage Course in September 2011, and I had to break it to her that the ALL the paperwork had to be redone as it had to be no older than 6 months old before the wedding date. She was gutted!!

I put in a call to the church and venue immediately after speaking to Holly; The church was booked for a different time than Holly had thought, and the menu choices Holly had made were not the same as what the venue was going to give them on their wedding day LOL.

Anyway, Holly and Declan were married in Virgen del Carmen church in Benalmadena in June, and it was perfect. The Happy couple and their families were over the moon with their wedding. The 28 kids at this wedding loved the slush puppy machine and bouncy castle, and the adults loved the entertainment provided by the talented soul singer Mr Maph followed by the hilarious DJ Joey.

Thanks to Paco Montagut for photography, and Rachel and Michelle for hair and makeup.
