I first met Louise and her Aunties a year before her wedding. I remember it clearly because A) Louise was upset as her Dad was taken ill whilst she was in Spain B) because she didnt like any of the venues I showed her and C) her dirty, dirty laugh!!
After a while of tooing and froing on venues, she chose a restaurant in Arroyo de La Miel for her wedding reception. She had her heart set on a church in Arroyo de la Miel (which she and I were both told didnt allow foreign weddings, especially on a saturday which is what Louise and Martin wanted). Anyway, long story short, and numerous calls to the church, I booked their wedding for Saturday 2nd June 2012.
Every time I mentioned this church to anyone, they always said “Are you sure? That church doesnt allow foreign weddings!” which would put the fear of God into me. I must have called the church 20 times to confirm. Even on the day of the wedding rehearsal I popped into the bar next to the church and the landlady told me the same thing!
As Louise and her Dad were about to walk into the church, I couldnt resist: I said to Louise, “Now Louise, you cant get married in this church on a Saturday ;)”
Louise looked amazing in her knee length dress and fushia shoes! Their pretty little girl looked gorgeous too 🙂
Louise and Martin were the easiest couple to work with. They were a no fuss couple and they simply just wanted to be married. So much so, Louise arrived at the church 15 minutes EARLY! She couldnt wait to marry Martin. I had to send her round the block as her guests were still arriving.
A MASSIVE thank you to Kris Mcguirk for his amazing photos as usual, Lisa for flowers, Michelle for hair and Rachel for make up.
Congratulations Louise and Martin xx
